Redwood Alley Farm is not responsible for packages received after the specified delivery date, or packages that are lost, stolen or damaged once in the hands of the carrier. We package our tubers the best possible way to ensure their safety while in transit, but there are instances when packages are mishandled and damaged by the carrier. In the event your package is delayed or damaged, please contact us so we can file a claim for your damaged goods. If the claim is paid by the shipping company, we will issue a credit to your account. Claims take 30-90 days to be evaluated and paid. The Redwood Alley Farm is not responsible for reimbursing damaged product not covered by the carrier.
We are unable to ship to Hawaii at this time.
UPDATED SHIPPING POLICY
Effective January 18, 2026
The Redwood Alley Farm prides itself in providing low shipping and handling fees. Our simplified rate structure attempts to apply a flat rate—no matter how many tubers are ordered (up to 70). Unfortunately, some shipping destinations do require a modest additional amount to the base flat rate; however, we feel this amount is significantly lower than many other dahlia shippers.
The Redwood Alley Farm utilizes the USPS Postal Zone method in determining shipping charges. Shipping and handling is calculated using a flat rate charge for most destinations, with graduated pricing for farther zones. Shipping and handling for any order up to 30 tubers is as follows*:
Zone 1–2 (Oregon, Washington)
$14.00 Flat Rate
Example order – 20 tubers: $14.00
Example order – 30 tubers: $14.00
Zone 4 (California, Idaho, Nevada)
$16.00 Flat Rate
Example order – 20 tubers: $16.00
Example order – 30 tubers: $16.00
Zone 5 (Utah, Wyoming, Montana)
$17.00 Flat Rate
Example order – 20 tubers: $17.00
Example order – 30 tubers: $17.00
Zone 6 (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota)
$18.00 Flat Rate + $0.10 per tuber ordered
Example order – 20 tubers:
$18.00 + ($0.10 × 20) = $20.00
Example order – 30 tubers:
$18.00 + ($0.10 × 30) = $21.00
Zone 7 (Texas, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Mississippi)
$19.00 Flat Rate + $0.15 per tuber ordered
Example order – 20 tubers:
$19.00 + ($0.15 × 20) = $22.00
Example order – 30 tubers:
$19.00 + ($0.15 × 30) = $23.50
Zone 8 (All remaining U.S. states)
$19.00 Flat Rate + $0.20 per tuber ordered
Example order – 20 tubers:
$19.00 + ($0.20 × 20) = $23.00
Example order – 30 tubers:
$19.00 + ($0.20 × 30) = $25.00
For any orders over 30 tubers, please create a new cart and order, or contact us at theredwoodalleyfarm@gmail.com
*Shipping rates are subject to USPS zone definitions and pricing changes.*Some states fall within multiple postal zones. Some destinations may reside in a different zone than that depicted in the chart. These rates WENT INTO EFFECT ON JANUARY 18, 2025.
